Maybe she intends to move the series on to focus on Brianna and Roger - because Claire must be well into her 50s now, and Jamie is a bit younger, but still, when the most recent book ends, they're in the midst of the American Revolution, so it's thirty years after Culloden. (I could go check to see exactly how old they both were when they met, but I'm not quite that devoted to uncovering the precise details.)
