I found it a fascinating read. A long time ago, in university, I did a paper for an anthropology class on cultural understanings of infectious disease mechanisms - and I must confess the idea that illness has a cultjral component has stick with me since then.
Watters writes very clearly about the issues and he seems to have done his research.
